Overview
Take a personalized excursion from Siem Reap that covers all of the area's historic temple sites. In the company of an experienced guide, you’ll visit Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon and Ta Prohm. Then enjoy a lunch of traditional Khmer foods.
What to Expect
Visit the major temples of Siem Reap including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon and Ta Prohm on our full-day tour.
Angkor Wat is the main temple complex at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and features spectacular remnants of 12th century Khmer life. You’ll see the series of towers around the perimeter of the site and a spectacular central tower meant to represent the mythical Mount Meru. The temple complex features thousands of intricate carvings that depict scenes from Hindu mythology.
First, enter Angkor Thom by its south gate. Angkor Thom was an inner royal city built toward the end of the 12th century and is best known for its temple grounds and its towering southern gate.
Your guide will then take you to see Bayon, Baphuon, Elephant Terrace and the Leper King Terrace as well. Afterwards, you will drive back to Ta Prohm.
At lunchtime you’ll have the chance to enjoy traditional Khmer foods at a local restaurant. When lunch is finished, the tour continues with the highlight of the day - the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat. This is the largest temple of the Angkor site, and was built by King Suryavarman II (1113-1150) and dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu.
